Danilo Amuedo (Rio de Janeiro, May 31, 1996) is a Brazilian drummer and percussionist. Among his musical influences are rhythms such MPB, samba, funk, soul music, R&B, jazz.
Danilo is Leo Amuedo’s son. Who is a world renown guitarist (Stevie Wonder, Chris Botti, Ivan Lins, Barbra Streisand, Neil Diamond, Blood Sweat & Tears, George Benson, David Foster, among others).
At the age of 3, he got his first set of drums and would start his musical studies with his father, at home.
Starting his professional career, in 2014 (18 yo), playing with several artists from the national scene, such as Ivan Lins, Liz Rosa, Roberto Menescal, and being part of Leo Amuedo Quinteto.
At age 19, he won a scholarship at Berklee College of Music and moved to Boston to attend one of the best music schools in the world.
With Alcione
Returning to Brazil, in 2018, he recorded and accompanied several artists such as: Leo Gandelman, Zé Américo Bastos, Toninho Horta, Mario Lucio (singer and composer from Cabo Verde), Arismar do Espirito Santo, Ricardo Silveira, and Alcione, on the tour “Eu Sou A Marrom”.
In 2019, shared the stage on tour and recording sessions with Mauro Senise (on the album “Ilusão à toa”), Claudio Jorge, Leo Gandelman, Julieta Rada (recording of the album “Bosque”), Alcione, Karol Conká, Rodrigo Lampreia, among others.
In 2020, as part of the band in the live TV Show “Encontro com Fátima Bernardes” on Rede Globo, he performed with several artists: Amado Batista, Fernando e Sorocaba, Jorge Vercillo, Mart'nália, Wilson Simoninha, among others.
Still in 2020, he recorded the DVD of singer-songwriter Pedro Felipe. With participations by Dilsinho (director), Rodriguinho, among others.
In 2021, invited by the musical director at that time Boris, (bassist and producer renowned in samba), joined singer Karinah's band, touring in Brazil as a drummer.
In 2022, living in Los Angeles, as part of the band “BLOOD, SWEAT & TEARS”, touring around the US, at very important venues, such as the “Blue Note” Jazz Club, among others.
During summer (2022), Danilo joined the band that accompanied singer-songwriter Ivan Lins on a summer tour in the United States and Canada.
He also recorded on Veronica Swift's upcoming record at “Sunset Sound studios” in Los Angeles.
From fall 2022 on, touring worldwide with singer-songwriter Noel Schajris, from “Sin Bandera” group.
