Danilo Amuedo (May 31, 1996) is drummer and Brazilian percussionist. Among his musical influences are rhythms like MPB, samba, funk, soul music, R&B, jazz.
Danilo is the son of guitarist Leo Amuedo, his greatest influence.
At the age of 3, he won his first battery and would start studying musicals with his father, with whom he would follow whenever possible at concerts and travelling.
At 15, he studied particularly with the masters of Brazilian drums Pascoal Meirelles, Cássio Cunha and Claudio Infante. Already starting his professional career, in 2014, playing with several artists from the national scene, such as Ivan Lins, Liz Rosa, Roberto Menescal, and being part of the Leo Amuedo Quinteto.
At age 19, he won a scholarship from Berklee College of Music, and moved to Boston, in order to serve one of the best music college in the world.
In the United States, he recorded and shared stages with artists such as Toninho Horta, Jesús Molina, Dennis Montgomery, among others.
Upon returning to Brazil in 2018, he recorded and accompanied several artists as: Leo Gandelman, Zé Américo Bastos, Mario Lucio (singer and original composer from Cape Verde), Arismar do Espirito Santo, Ricardo Silveira, and Alcione, on the tour “Eu Sou A Marrom”.
In 2019, he followed artists such as; Mauro Senise (disc recording “Ilusion for nothing”), Claudio Jorge, Leo Gandelman, Alcione, Karol Conká, Rodrigo Lampreia, among others.
In 2020, as part of the base band in the live program “Encontro com Fátima Bernardes” from Rede Globo, performed with several artists. Amado Batista, Fernando and Sorocaba, Jorge Vercillo, Mart’nália, Wilson Simoninha, among others.
Still in 2020, he recorded the DVD of singer and composer Pedro Felipe. With guest appearances by Dilsinho (director), Rodriguinho, among others.
In 2021, on tour with singer and composer Pedro Felipe, as drummer and music director.
